Admission in vocational courses
like Functional English, Functional Hindi etc.
is done on the basis of entrance tests. Admission
to all other classes like B.A., B.Sc, M.A.(Geog).,
M.A. (Music) are being done on the basis of merit.
Students are selected for admission into various
coursest through special entrance tests, interviews
and their academic record
The main methodology employed to assess their
knowledge and skills in class rooms is through
class tests, practicals in labs and house tests.
In some departments, particularly, post-graduate
classes, their knowledge is tested through seminars
and presentations. For continuous assessment of
the learners the college has introduced monthly
tests/mock tests/ quiz contests and a proper record
of all these is being maintained.
Learners, whose performance is rated excellent
on the basis of continuous assessment criteria,
receive extra-coaching/guidance to enable them
to excel. Learners with special aptitude/talent
are provided with appropriate opportunities to
tap their talent. Learners of the post-graduate
courses are encouraged to give and participate
in seminars etc. Each year our students bag high
merit positions in the university exams.
At the beginning of the session the college organises
general assembly of the students in which the
Registrar of the college communicates to the students
the rules of examination and the evaluation techniques.
The same is communicated by the college teachers
in their respective classes/tutorial groups. Teachers
evaluate house examination answer sheets/class
tests and other response sheets of the students.
These answer sheets are shown to the learners
and this is how they are made aware of evaluation
methods.
